WAI Winslow Architects Arlington Cambridge Housing Authority Woodbridge

WINSLOW ARCHITECTS INC. (WAI) has been selected by the Cambridge Housing Authority to renovate three buildings offering supportive housing opportunities to 25 individuals with disabilities. This housing has been created in association with the Department of Mental health (DMH). The buildings are distinctly different but all share the characteristics of 19th and early 20th century buildings that blend into the fabric of three different neighborhoods in Cambridge, MA.

WAI has brought together consulting engineers to create a complete AE Team to replace components that have reached the end of their useful life and provide an uplift to the building and the spirit of the occupants. While not considered an attribute of well done architecture, WAI has learned that the best way to renovate buildings with occupants in place is to maintain close relational contact and establish transparent and open lines of communications – we will certainly attempt to do that here.

Planning will begin this Spring in hopes of a construction start in the Late Fall of 2019.
