John Winslow has been practicing as an Architect for over 35 years. He established Winslow Architects Inc. in 1983 and has owned and successfully managed the company since that time.

John brings leadership skills for all design aspects of Winslow Architects as well as for creating close working relationships with our clients. He began his career in the early 1970s working with community based not-for-profit sponsors attempting to develop affordable housing in more affluent suburban communities. This work with community groups served as the basis for a return to school to study architecture at MIT and the eventual establishment of Winslow Architects to specialize in affordable multifamily housing design and development.

John is responsible for creating a firm that combines the advantages of a smaller firm with that of a larger firm – where the Principals are involved with all projects in the office and are accessible to the client at any time while at the same time providing a professional staff capable of providing full architectural services needed to design and construct multiple large scale developments at the same time. John has been and remains active in community affairs – having served as President of the Cambridge Community Chorus and past Presidents of The Newton Historical Society and the Newton Cable Access TV Station.
