WINSLOW ARCHITECTS INC. of Arlington has designed a new building containing 16 units of affordable rental housing to replace a former church building that was destroyed in the now infamous fire of 2016 in Cambridge. Construction began in January with completion anticipated by the end of 2018.
John Winslow – President of Winslow Architects – noted that “the building was designed to reflect the scale and style of the triple-deckers typical of the surrounding neighborhood.” Winslow Architects worked closely with Just-A-Start Corporation (the property Owner/ Developer) and the Cambridge community to design the building – going from start of design through the approvals and construction process to completion in just 2 years after the fire.
